Fort Carson Indoor Pool Aquatics Class Sound System |
|
Why is the Fort Carson Indoor Pool Aquatics Class Sound System on the Featured Systems List? One reason is the system features the Hydrophonics completely submersible wireless headset microphone system. When you go to Sea World, Disney Land, Disney World, and other Theme Parks, wherever there is a water show, you will probably see the Hydrophonics systems in use.
System Overview
Fort Carson's Aquatics Director realized that for his aquatics classes to be fully effective he needed his instructors to be heard clearly by all of the class participants. In a pool, where there are a lot of other ambient sounds, an instructors voice can get lost. Hydrophonics to the rescue!!! Now there is a completely submersible wireless microphone system that can be used in any wet environment to insure that what needs to be heard can be heard.

Here we see Erin, one of the Lifeguards at the Fort Carson Indoor Pool, wearing the Hydrophonics submersible headset wireless microphone system. She's ready for class! |
|
Here she is again in the water. And guess what, she will be heard clearly by everyone who attends her class - thanks to the Hydrophonics system (and a little help from the sound system). |

Frequently Asked Questions
Q What does a system like this cost?
A The entire system as described was put into service with installation for just under $2500.00
Q Is there any possibility of electrical shock from wearing this type of system in the water?
A No, the transmitter pack that you wear in the water is completely separate and disconnected from the receiver where all of the electrical voltage is. The transmitter pack that is worn in the water is powered by 2 nine volt batteries!
Q How does the signal from the transmitter reach the receiver if the transmitter pack is under water on the instructor? Isn't the signal kind of weak?
A - On the Telex wireless system, the system that is modified by Hydrophonics for underwater use, the cable that connects the microphone to the transmitter pack also serves as the antenna. In most cases there is always some portion of the microphone cable that is out of the water at all times allowing for the signal to be clearly received by the receiver.
Q - We are interested in getting a system like this for our facility. How do we go about doing that?
A - Call or write Axxis Audio. We can arrange a time to come out and evaluate your needs. Our phone number and e-mail link are at the foot of this page.
